So what is with the tagline? In short it is the general policy of what you can use from this site and how you can use it. Thus:
Copyright
Items which are copyright, such as the book cover designs on the main page or images and text for which I give credit, are the property of their respective owner(s). I use them under the general terms of fair use. If you want to use the material, go to the source.
Copyleft
The rest of the text, images, layout et such are mine. If you find something useful or interesting, great. Use of material is covered under the Creative Commons license with the exception of personal family photos. I only ask two things:
- Refrain from using images of my family.
- If you are going to use an image, stylesheet, etc., copy it to your server. Don't steal bandwidth.
Caveat Lector
Let the reader beware. Trust, but verify. Just because I write something I think is accurate doesn't make it so. I will try to make things honest and accurate, and correct errors as I become aware of them, but that is as far as it goes. I will also edit, add and delete comments as I see fit, so play nicely.
Finally, this website is hosted on the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) network, for which I am very grateful. However, this site is strictly personal and does not in any way represent RIT.
